PostFri May 20, 2022 6:44 am

Hello!

I have an LTE USB Stick E3372 from Huawei. Does it work with Web Presenter?

Best

I just tested it with a Huawei E8372.

With my iPhone I get a little cell phone logo on the monitoring screen (Upper right of the box for the Online / Offline) and and IP address that I can toggle back and forth from.

With the LTE stick I get nothing. The stick powers up and connects to the network but the Web Presenter doesn't see it as a valid network source.

It's been a while since I set one up but the 8372 works in a couple of modes.

Either as a USB Powered WiFi access point for its 4G modem. In this mode it doesn't pass data over USB.

Or in direct USB mode.

I'm fairly sure you might need to make sure it's not in access point mode to have it work as a direct 4G USB dongle.

I'm pretty sure the USB stick is in the right mode because my Teradek Cubes recognize it as a LTE modem and stream data out over it. The Web Presenter doesn't see it though. It must use an unsupported protocol or like you said, it's in a mode that the web presenter doesn't like. The iPhone worked fine though.
