I dont think a HD model will allow you even to see any 4K signal.. Not even 30P.

Yeah, I'm not entirely sure why they decided to name those products HD Plus and HD Pro, but they have 6G SDI inputs and accept 4K video signals up to 2160p30 (maybe the HD Plus means a bit more than HD). They can record and play back in 4K resolution, but only in ProRes and DNxHR as indicated on the Tech Specs page:
https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/produc ... s/W-HYD-12The HyperDeck Studio HD Plus is actually pretty similar in features to the original 1/3rd rack width HyperDeck Studio Mini (which could also do 2160p30 in ProRes). And the $695 price is the same as the original HyperDeck Studio Mini as well.
It's only the new 1/3rd rack width HyperDeck Studio HD Mini that has 3G SDI ports and is actually limited to 1080p60 HD in all recording codecs. That's effectively a lower-tier entry level model (at $495) even though the size and form factor is the same as the original HyperDeck Studio Mini.
