SSD drive won’t register

I purchased a 2TB SanDisk Extreme Portable SSD. I formatted it as OS Extended Journaled because I use only Macs. Plugged it in to my. Atem Mini Extreme ISO and was able to record a single test clip. Unplugged the drive and plugged it into my laptop to transfer it over and check it. All fine. When plugging back into the ATEM however the drive light is now yellow instead of green and pressing the record button does not start the recording. It actually registered green one time, but still would not record. Suggestions? Thanks for your help!

As an update, I reformatted the drive two different times. I tried ExFat and then OS Journaled again. The drive light shows up as green and I can see the name of the drive and the size and time remaining on the multi view, but nothing happens when I hit record either on the physical unit or on the software control.
