ATEM Mini Pro ISO File problem

PostTue Jul 05, 2022 4:56 pm

Hi,
Blackmagic Cameras
ATEM Mini Pro ISO
Samsung T5 drive

Ran into an interesting issue today. ATEM shows recording and recording length.

On Mac (tried a few), files and folders not seen. In terminal, ls doesn’t show them, du indicates their existence (by listing them), but gives an error that they aren’t found. find command yields similar results to ls.

On PC, everything is visible.

Again, using Samsung T5, so AFAIK, on the approved list.

Thoughts?

I think I tracked down a solution, not sure if it is THE solution.

Environment:
Samsung T5 formatted with exfat plugged into ATEM mini extreme iso
ATEM Firmware: 8.6.1

It goes way back in the history of filesystems. Everything seems to work cleanly if the file names are kept short, for example KWE01. The file name that we were using was testing_4_2022–07–05.

That folder name seems to be too long, so we likely need to keep folder names short.
