WARNING - ATEM Mini SDI has no Multiview

So this was a disappointing purchase. The smallest model of the new SDI Atem Minis have two hardware outputs plus USB-C, sounds great doesn't it? Wrong! BMD very conveniently leave out the fact that the smallest unit has no way of outputting a multiview! Two outputs but neither of them can be configured for multiview!!

Literally only found out after buying two and setting them up, and then later coming across another forum post warning people that the basic model has no multiview, again, even though it has two hardware outputs!

I'm just scratching my head as to who this product is for then? It's SDI so that implies it's for a camera switching workflows, but without a multiview that is impossible. And now that BMD have developed an allergic reaction to HDMI plugs, it's not really for AV use either as you're back to needing 6+ converters for laptops and projectors.

Anybody know if there is a possibility that multiview output could be added in a future firmware update? Because if not, I'll be returning the units as they are basically not usable.

Return them. They are not the right product for you. Some folks don't require or desire a multiview.

I don't know who those people are. ;)

Same as with the original ATEM Mini (HDMI version). In order to get Multiview you have to upgrade to the Pro version.
