How do you do this? Just how?

I've ran it through so many damn converters and even tried changing the Switch output settings

Nothing.

Hi, maybe it’s as issue with HDCP? Try to test with a HDMI splitter.

Best regards

Have you tried a Decimator MD-HX, scaling and then output via SDI? I have had luck with other pesky sources by running them through a monitor's loop out. The monitor presented to the device as a "terminal" port.

Seconding the recommendation to use a scaler. HDCP is off by default on the Switch, so that won't be it unless you're trying to capture Netflix.
