ATEM Mini Pro ISO Canon r5C vs Panasonic S1H sharpness issue

Hi,

We had been filming fitness content through an ATEM Mini Pro ISO using 2 x Panasonic S1H's. The videos looked great. The only issue was the audio focus tracking was inferior to Canon/Sony. So we sold all of our Panasonic kit and upgraded to 2 x Canon R5Cs.

Ever since the change of kit our fitness content videos filmed through the ATEM Mini Pro ISO is way softer compared to the Panasonics, as if the Panasonics were downscaling the HDMI feed much better than the Canons.

We have tried different variety of settings of outputs and native recording settings and still come up with the same result that the Canons are so much softer when going through the ATEM. When filmed into camera the footage looks great, but it's making our switcher setup un-usable. Any settings that we're missing here or is there just an awareness than Canons don't do well into the switchers vs Panasonic?

Sounds like the cameras just perform differently. I'm hard pressed to see this as an ATEM issue.

You can replace the ISO recordings with the originals in Resolve. Maybe that's the best approach?

Check the Canons are sending 1080p and not 1080i/1080PsF.
