Power supply for ATEM Mini and HyperDeck Shuttle HD

PostFri Dec 02, 2022 12:32 am

Hi, unfortunately I didn't label every power supply yet. :oops: I was starting labeling every power supplies. Then I noticed that I don't know which power supply is for ATEM mini (the cheapest one) and which one for HyperDeck Shuttle HD.

Would be great if any owner from one of both device could send me the tech spec of the power supply of each device. I also found out that ATEM mini seems already discontinued so I couldn't visit the tech spec page at BMD website. The HyperDeck Shuttle HD has 20 watt usage but for that I thought the 18 watt power supply would belong to HyperDeck Shuttle HD. :shock: So something is wrong at my place.

Thanx!

Sorry I don't have them :roll:

But I found the pdf of the original Atem Mini.
The Atem Mini is 12V and 18W (18/12= 1.5A)

HyperDeck Shuttle HD is indeed "20W max" (1.6A)

Hopefully you can find out which power supply is from which device :lol:
But these two values are so close it shouldn't really matter, as long it's at least 12V/1.5A. I think both original power supplies should be something like 12V/1.5A or 2A.

Great. Thank you Daniel!

So it's really this way (as they were placed together at my place):
  • Power Supply 18W (12V/1.5A) => ATEM Mini
  • Power Supply 36W (12V/3.0A) => HyperDeck Shuttle HD

I'm surprised that the small thing HyperDeck Shuttle HD consumes more power than the switcher ATEM Mini. That is why I thought "Why is the bigger Power Supply placed at the small thing and the smaller one at ATEM switcher?".

Best regards

I took a look at the power supplies that came with the different BMD devices:

ATEM Mini 12V/1.5A
Shuttle HD 12V/3A
ATEM Mini Pro ISO 12V/3A
ATEM Mini Extreme 12V/5V
SDI ATEM Extreme ISO 12V/5A

They all make sense.....

Also … the Hyperdeck Shuttle HD has a mechanical lock option, you can secure the connector, (the original power supply)
So now you going to Dymo label your cables ? you don't have to do that with USB C, Micro or Mini ;)
Intensity Shuttle, ATEM Mini, Video Assist 5"(mini USB), Hyperdeck ShuttleHD,Analog to SDI mini-converter, software: Davinci Resolve 15 on Sierra, Resolve 18 on Catalina. (Using Apple OS 32 & 64 bit on different MacBook Pro's

Hi, I already labeled just after I got information from you. :)

No I don't label the USB-power supplies. The ATEM Mini also has a mechanical lock option (as all ATEM minis/SDIs do).

randy: Kudos for listing all the power supply for each model.

Best regards
