Posted: Tue Dec 06, 2022 12:37 pmAs far as I know there is no scaler in the Micro Converter BiDirectional SDI/HDMI 12G. It outputs what you put in. Internally the SDI signal is reclocked and the HDMI signal is reformatted but it should always have the same specifications as the input signal unless you apply a LUT or applied any specific changes via the setup utility.

Posted: Wed Dec 07, 2022 10:22 amIf you input 12G and have a proper HDMI monitor behind it that has HD and it's EDID is correct. Then the converter will do a HD Down convert.. But only if the EDID of your monitor is correct and functioning.
Else it will just assume its a 4K screen and output 4K.
