860 PRO alternative ?

samsung 860 PRO model was listed by BMD for hyperdecks. Theses products are aged and may be close to EOL.

BMD choose them certainly for high sustened transfers, critical point for old hyperdeck generations with high definition codec.

Do some of you experiment some 1TB/2TB SSD for Hyperdeck 12G ?

Any user of Samsung PM883 or Neutron XT ?

Those might work fine but are not a 1 to 1 replacement for the 860Pro. The 860Pro is one of the last SSDs made by Samsung using 2bit MLC instead of TLC like the latest models.

Dunno why Samsung moved away from 2bit MLC (probably cost). TLC might be good enough but it just doesn't feel the same.
