Hello, I have an Atom Mini Pro connected via USB-C to my Mac Book Pro (Ventura 13.2). I can see switcher via ATEM Software Controller. However the webcam source shows completely black. The audio is coming through. I tried with faceTime, Photo Booth and WebEx, the video is always black. I rebooted the switcher and sill black. What can I do to fix this?
To solve it you have to power off/on the Atem and then you will have an image on the USB webcam output. Till now Blackmagic don't have a solution for this longlasting problem.
I finally found out the issue was resolved after downloading the lightning HDMI adapter firmware for iPhone. For some reasons the message was not shown before. After a reboot I got the notification, accepted and it started working.
I have same problem as original post. Connecting to usb-c through my macbook pro. And choosing blackmagic design as the webcam source. The audio works, but the video is black. Same for a second mac, but on a mac deskside it works fine. Anyone have an answer?
“Uninstall latest vers, reboot, reinstall 8.5.1, reboot. Unplug everything from atem. While holding mic 1 on button plug in the atem power (mic 1 should be blinking). Then plug in the USB cable. Go to atem setup and click to get 'update atem'. Continue with firmware update. Then try your hdmi cams, no more blackscreen in obs.”
Perhaps I'm the only one that read the original post the way I did. The problem I am having, is that if I connect the usb-c port from the ATEM device to my macbook. And then try and open something like zoom. Zoom shows the "blackmagic" device as a webcam. If I select it the screen is black. Selecting the "blackmagic" for audio works fine. But for video it is just black screen.
I did get it resolved. Instead of turning on the ATEM device and THEN plugging into my mac. I rebotted the ATEM device while it was already plugged into my mac, and then it worked. Simple workaround.
