not with the existing, because of a hardware restriction

I repeat my question, is there already a software upgrade for this camera to have an HDMI UHD output?

is that really what happened? Still in 2024??
there is only 1080p50 HDMI output in Pocket Cinema Camera 6K ???

I would like to buy a new Pocket Cinema Camera 6k and am stumbling over many questions :-(
I will compile and record a lifestream with OBS Studio, this one with FullHD that's fine.

But I would like to record the live edit in full quality and clean HDMI, at least 4K.
So that I can possibly change the material afterwards.
At the same time, I would like to record the "raw data" on the camera's CF cards,
for the customer and for other edits if necessary

I will capture the video from the camera with:
Blackmagic DeckLink Quad HDMI Recorder:
4K Video Standards
4Kp23.98 DCI,
4Kp24 DCI,
4Kp25 DCI,
4Kp29.97 DCI,
4Kp30 DCI,
4Kp50 DCI,
4Kp59.94 DCI,
4Kp60 DCI

lets you capture from 4 different HDMI sources in any combination of SD, HD, Ultra HD, 4K

It's embarrassing that Blackmagic Pocket Cinema can't output 4K or 6K even
though the capture card can read 4K :-(

A question: Am I making a mistake in thinking here?

My setup again:

I will work with 3 cameras, all of which will record in 4K/50p.
They are not served and stand alone on a tripod.
Recording possible for up to 2 hours.

It is correct that the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K does not have
a time limit of 29 minutes?? This is important for my Workflow!
Please correct me if I am misinformed, thank you.

For short recordings / live events of around an hour, I make a live mix with OBS.
I capture this live mix at the HDMI output of the camera
with: Blackmagic DeckLink Quad HDMI Recorder.
>> for Live/Online FullHD is enough here.

I need to simultaneously save these live events to the camera's internal CF card
in at least 4K. As a backup.

I need to save these live events, what I put together with OBS,
on the computer at the same time.
A memory or trailer may possibly be edited from this later, so it is important that this recording:
Starting from the HDMI output of the camera, going into the computer, in at least 4K is possible.

Thanks for all Ideas and feedback Mt. Bee

I don't thank you for not giving any help :-(

- Decklink can read 4K video from HDMI

- BMPCC cannot output 4K to HDMI Out

- Studio camera HDMI Out Camera video output works in HD or Ultra HD.

So it is not recommended to buy Pocket Cinema Camera for this workflow

Likewise, it is not recommended to buy ATEM switchers for this workflow, ATEM can only record ISA, not 4K from all inputs.

ATEM is also not recommended for studio cameras as they give an output of 4k.
Because ATEM cannot send a 4K signal from 4 studio cameras to the Decklink card for reading in to OBS.

There is no HDMI/split and it is disproportionate to use an ATEM with SDI and a total of 8 HDMI to SDI converters

I am our Church's Videographer and LiveStream with my ATEM minis.
I notice used Pocket 6k cameras are going dirt cheap on ebay.
but
So far the Black Magic 4k pocket cinema camera has given me the best workflow and results.
I have other cameras including the micro Studio 4k camera but can only use the camera control software to full advantage thru the HDMI ports and do not need nor wish to get the SDI versions of switchers.

At this point YouTube and FaceBook max out at 1080P which is "good enough" for high quality video.
Also it would take a lot more bandwidth/ upload speed for 4 or 6K.

Hello
I have studied the problem of remote control with my BMPCC6k for a long time...
The only solution would have been with an SDI converter and an SDI version of ATEM.

But the following unexpectedly emerged:
Most HDMI cables (even long cables of 30m) have an audio return channel in copper in addition to the fiber optic cable.
This copper cable is automatically used by the BMPCC6k and the ATEM HDMI for camera control.
Record start/stop, focus +/- and autofocus, IRIS/GAIN and much more.
It is not necessary to use an SDI converter and two send/receive cables!
A single HDMI cable with the mentioned audio return channel is sufficient.
The audio return channel, or ARC for short, is one of the most practical extensions of HDMI.

The Pocket 4k/6k max out at 1080P over HDMI.
With any of the ATEM Mini ISO switchers you can create live mix in 1080P.
The switcher can also control all the cameras and set them recording in sync.
The switcher saves a Davinci Resolve Project files well as the 1080P ISO files.
You can open the Resolve project and either use the 1080P ISO files or swap them out for the RAW camera files (6k or 4k depending on the camera).
If you really want cameras with 4K or 6K out via HDMI then look at the Studio Camera 4K and 6K models instead.
