Monitor program audio : ATEM SDI PRO ISO

PostSat Mar 18, 2023 2:59 am

What is the best way to monitor the program audio?

I have an HDMI switch on input 4 so I can either select a PTZ camera input or play a video/DVD (we have a lot of historical club content on DVD's). I have found that if I don't turn the power off on the DVD I get a Hum in the audio. Even though I think I have found out the cause of the Hum, I would like to be able to monitor the audio to check it's not there when I start to record.

My first thought is the headphone jack.

I'm wondering why that isn't your first thought as well, as it seems pretty obvious.

Am I missing something?
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

Are you using the the SDI Pro ISO just for recording or connecting/streaming to a PC? If to a PC, then you could monitor via the computer's output.

Thanks for you replies. I am only using the ATEM for recording. As for the headphone Jack my first thought was how I missed that, but on checking my ATEM SDI PRO ISO doesn’t have a headphone Jack.

I am quite a way from the studio but I Just checked the spec online and am pretty sure it doesn’t have one.
