Hello,

I'm having a lot issues getting talkback to work between my ATEM Television Studio Pro 4K and BMD Studio Camera 6K Pro. I'm trying to take it one issue at a time. The first problem I'm having is connecting this headset to the BMD Studio Camera 6K Pro to be used for talkback:

"Datavideo HP-2A Dual-Ear Headset for ITC Intercom Systems"

I plugged the headset in the 3.5mm jack. I have assigned one of the function keys to be "push to talk" The headphone part works fine, but I can't get the mic to work.

On the ATEM switcher side, I have my headphones plugged into the ATEM. I can hear the audio coming from the camera's internal mics, but can't hear the operator when they're pressing the "push to talk" button.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I don't know if this is the case as DataVideo doesn't post the specs on this but it could be a CTIA vs OMTP pinout issue.

The Studio Camera 6K Pro manual doesn't call out which pinout they use either (and possibly could be trying to auto detect).

CTIA and OMTP swap the ground and microphone pins which may explain the mic not working.

Alternatively, if you have any other 3.5mm headsets laying around such as from a phone, try that. If it works then it's almost certainly a pinout issue.
