I got it to work with this splitter/extender with some caveats:

What this meant in practice: I am using two inputs: A is my laptop's HDMI out. B is the HDMI out of a camcorder. The splitter did not work at all with my laptop plugged into input 1 of ATEM.
I had to plug the camcorder into input 1 and the laptop into input 2 of ATM. Then, with the settings below, I got it all to sync and display picture:
EEID of Gofanco is set to #5 config in manual (first two pins up, third one down).
ATEM output (click on cog wheel in Atem Software Control) is set to 1080p 24.
Canon Camcorder is set to 60i
Hope this helps someone else. I may have looked for another switcher had I known of all these quirks.
