Macro actions not simultaneous on ATEM Mini Extreme

PostMon Apr 10, 2023 7:08 pm

I'm trying to do a sort of virtual set thing. To achieve this, I run a macro that changes both the upstream key (chroma) to a specific camera and loads a specific image as background in the mediaplayer.

When I play the video back, I noticed that the the camera and image do not switch at the same time. First the background image changes and one frame later the camera changes. Is there a reason why this happens?

I have noticed this sometimes with the ATEM Mini Pro, too. The thing is... it's not always consistent. I have set it up and it did switch at the same time, but later on it would 'add' the extra frame again. I have tried it with different frame rates, and it's always one frame only.

If anyone has any ideas, I'd be very grateful.

You may have to flip flop media players, I don’t think you can unload and reload a frame in the blanking interval.

Good Luck

Thanks for the reply! What I find curious is that I would maybe expect the mediaplayer to lag behind, but it's actually the camera input.
