Linux ATEM controlling software!!! "Open Switcher"

PostWed Apr 12, 2023 11:00 pm

Have any of you guys seen or tried Open Switcher?! It's an open source project to give switcher control for Linux users like the ATEM software!

https://openswitcher.org/

I do wish Blackmagic would make a Linux version of the ATEM software for Linux. But this project is so amazing and hope it continues to grow and improve!

BTW, you can definitely use ATEM switchers on Linux well using OBS which is what I use, but this obviously unlocks some of the features and functionality.

Just installed it on my Ubuntu laptop. It appears to be working perfectly. Kudos to Martijn!

Fantastic! It's an AMAZING project. If you use Matrix chat, be sure to share your feedback or bugs on the Open Atem chat room. It helps to make the project even better!

And... it is incomplete... unfortunately... And... no longer seems to be actively supported. Really wish BMD would support Linux. They could publish via SNAP or FlakPak for example, and be distribution independent.
