Hyperdeck Studio Mini Firmware

Are all Hyperdeck Studio Mini's upgradable to the latest 8.3 firmware or are some of the older units limited in how far they can go? I can't seem to figure out if some are limited on version or method of upgrading. I thought I read some older units can only be upgraded by USB connection.

I have not seen issues with older Hyperdecks on latest firmware.

Atem series do have issues with that and the old 1080i series should not go beyond 7.5.. But that is for atem..
