1080i50 is 25 fps interlaced with 50 fields, 25 odd and 25 even every second.
There is no 1080i25 but you can use 1080p25 wich is 25 fps progressive.

The Canon XA15 will do both 1080p25 and 1080p50 just fine. There is no need to use interlaced. I would set every piece of equipment to 1080p50 and for the projector use a converter to convert to the framerate that it needs. Blackmagic sells a Mini Converter UpDownCross HD that can do that but many brands have similar devices. Or just use 1080p25 without any conversion needed.

On that camera in progressive mode the HD-SDI out does 1080PsF so that's 1080i with a progressive image.

The HDMI port can do true progressive 1080p but not if the HD-SDI out is enabled.

You will need to disable SDI out to get progressive from the HDMI port. Set the output terminal option in the menu to HDMI.
