Hi,
I'm sharing an issue that is bothering my for few months.
I'm using a Ferrofish Verto MX to convert the MADI output 1 of the Constellation 8K into Dante. Everything is in sync at this stage : the ATEM receive a blackburst generated from a Yellobrik SPG 1708 and the Ferrofish a Wordclock generated by the same Yellobrik. The leader of my Dante network is the Ferrofish with the external sync box checked.
It's working well.
The problem comes when I try to send my Audio PGM into the MADI input of the Constellation 8K after going through the mixing table. I have a click sound every 10 to 20 seconds. Which means there is a sync problem at this stage.
I'm aware the Ferrofish doesn't take reference from the MADI input. But because the ATEM and the Ferrofish are synchronised from the Yellobrick, it somehow works.
I pushed my investigations further by using an RME Digiface Dante in stand-alone mode (as read on multiple threads here). Again, the conversion from MADI to Dante is working well. The Digiface takes the reference from the MADI and is set to be the Leader of my Dante network with the external sync box checked. So far, so good.
Again, when I put audio from the Digiface into the MADI input of the Constellation 8K, I have clicks sounds every 10-20 seconds.
I'm sure the sync probleme is at the MADI input of the Constellation 8K because when I'm using the TRS input it's working well.
Did someone achieved to Output and Input audio through MADI on the constellation 8K?
I'm pretty convident that the Multiverter with the SRC card will do the trick, but it's a big investment for (only) having digital audio for the L/R PGM input.
