I'm looking to standardize on some brand/model of Cat6a cable for interconnecting various rack mounted equipment. Does anyone have a favorite?
What about shielded Cat cable? How much of an edge will this give me in reliability for a tight rack setup? There will be AC power cables in close proximity to the networking cables.
In terms of flexibility, can I have it and shielding or do I have to pick one?
I already have some StarTech shielded cables but the cable is so stiff that I subconsciously worry I'm putting too much strain on equipment RJ45 sockets and this will eventually lead to broken sockets/bad solder joints.
