Are all SDI cables rated for 12G transmission?
If not, how can I tell which ones will support and which will not? Is it shielding, impedance, connector type that makes it different?
Can this be visually verified, or with test gear (multimeter, cable tester, using 4K camera into switcher?)
I have a box of various cables I need to test and sort for use in 4K setup or not.
The internet is giving me mixed responses. I understand 3G vs 12G as a protocol, but does the cable matter?
