Decklink 8K Pro
This isn't exactly a question about post production, but this is the section that mentioned desktop video, so I figured this is where I'd get the most insight.
I have a couple Decklink 8K Pro cards connected to a Mac Studio running ProPresenter 7 at my church. We have 2 different outputs set up on there with alpha channel, plus one more connected as a single output. Initially, we thought we had gotten the alpha channel working correctly, but recently I discovered that may not be the case. In Desktop Video, the only mapping for the connectors to allow ProPresenter to send an alpha output makes the other 2 ports on the card completely useless, as it needs to be set to SDI 1&2 IN, SDI 3&4 Out. We bought these about a year ago with the intention of reaching 4K quality on our video and livestream.
My question is if there is a way to remap the connectors similar to the Decklink Duo 2? Or is that a feature Blackmagic can add to the 8K Pro? I thought I saw a post on here from a Blackmagic employee saying this is achievable with the SDK for Desktop Video, but as I am not a software developer and don't know anything about how to do that, I wanted to avoid that so I don't break anything.
