I can see that some products listed as 4K on the website are only capable of 6G such as Smart Scope 4K.

If I am working in 12G with Atem Constellation 4M/E and URSA Broadcast G2 cameras, will I need to down-convert to use the Smart Scope 4K which is listed as max 6G in the specs.

This is also a question for any other product that is only capable of 6G. Will they recognize 12G and just display as 6G?

No they wont do 12G.. The chipsets inside these 6G models are not capable of receiving / processing 12G sdi.

We have the same issues and can only hope BMD will finally start updating the DUO / Smartview monitors to a better resolution screen and 12G input.

We now use 6 Decimator 12G Cross to downconvert several sources to HD..

I have seen other companies using a second Constellation 8K as 24 channel downconverter.. Like set it to HD OUT.. and then just input whatever 4K source into it.. And you have 24 Route-able HD outputs.

If only BMD would bring a UpDownCross 12G onto the market.. Would be so Helpfull..

We've been using the Teranex Mini 12G-SDI to Quad SDI for almost this purpose and it works fine converting to 3G at least. Have not tried to 6G yet.
