ATEM 1, Kramer HDMI switcher, picture flicker
Here is my setup:
Everything is currently at 1080i
3 JVC GY-HM650U cams > HD-SDI cables > BMD Atem 1 M/E prod switcher
and:
iMac running ProPresenter4 > thunderbolt to HDMI > Kramer VS-48H HDMI switcher > out 1 to projector, out 2 to Atem 1 via HDMI w/ Kramer Cat5 extenders.
Here is the problem:
When I run the iMac > Kramer > Atem 1 the picture will come on and off about 12 times with a couple of those being scrambled and the image is more purple than it should be then it goes black. If I bypass the Kramer and run the iMac straight into the HDMI w/ Cat5 extenders into the Atem 1 the picture comes in perfectly.
I thought this was an EDID issue but I went through the process of acquiring the EDID data for the Atem 1 same problem. I also used the default EDID setting in the Kramer same problem. I also used the projector set at 1080i and acquired that EDID and then plugged the Atem back into that output to try and trick it into sending the correct signal same problem.
My other thought is that the color space difference is the problem with the Atem utilizing YUV and the Kramer using RGB. However, the iMac (and my MacBook Pro which I tested and worked) use RGB and work perfectly.
So, any insights in how to successfully send the ProPresenter feed to both the projector and Atem 1?
