DVE Layers on the TV HD8 ISO

PostMon May 22, 2023 10:53 am

Hello all!
We are currently planning on getting the new TV HD8 ISO, but the tech specs are a bit unclear on whether there are two 'full' DVE layers available. The specs only specify: Transition Keyer (Stinger/DVE) 1 Stinger, 1 DVE. The new 4k8 has the 2 DVEs seperatly listed (but doesn't seem to allow for ISO recording).

Does anyone know more about this?

Thank you!

It's 1 DVE for keying, and 1 DVE for transitions/stingers. It also has supersource with 4 boxes available as an input source, which is pretty much 4 additional DVEs. I hope that explanation helps.
Windows 11 Pro, AMD Ryzen 7 3700X, 32GB RAM, NVidia RTX 2070 8GB.

The HD8 has one DVE which can be used in a variety of ways like PIP, fly key and transitions but only one of these functions at a time.

The 4K8 has two DVE which can be used in the same variety but only two functions at a time.

They both have Supersource. The 4K8 has no ISO capability. I hope this helps.

Regards. Gary

Thank you for your replies! I'm sad to hear this, as this is kind of a downgrade compared to the ATEM Mini Extreme. SuperSource unfortunately is not an option as I can't edit it later on in Resolve. Maybe SuperSource arrangements will transfer over to Resolve in the future as these are way more flexible, especially in terms of preset programming.
