ATEM Extreme Usage Without Computer

PostSun May 28, 2023 12:29 am

Hello...
I understand that a computer and the Blackmagic software is required for a lot of ATEM setup.
Once that is finished, can I use things like macros, super source, media players, etc... without the computer connected?
IE...Do those settings get stored in the hardware or are the buttons basically a network panel?
Thanks...

There are things you need the software for. But it's not necessary to run the switcher.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

Thank you, but what about macros, media players, etc... specifically?

To record a macro you need a computer but to recall macro’s you don’t.

You can acces the mediaplayers but you will only get the two images you have set by your pc, so you can’t get access to all 20 images.

You also can recall your pre-defined supersource but you can’t change them. But of course you can create macro’s for different supersource layouts.

So everything is stored in hardware, included 20 images/titles.

I appreciate the information.
That's exactly what I was looking for.
Thanks...
