Ultrascope and decklink problem

PostThu Jan 30, 2014 1:46 pm

If anyone had a problem with Ultrascope and decklink in one PC computer? They do not want to work together. On instslation ultrascope PC screams to uninstall desktop, and vice versa. Haw to instal both
softwers as so they can have the ultrascope and input SDI by deklink. It would be best if only the card UltraScope had the opportunity to be able to simultaneously use Media Expres.

Hello,

As a user, this is the response I received from BM support on the same problem:

From Tech Support:
"I apologize for any confusion or miscommunication. The UltraScope is not designed to work in the same system as a DeckLink capture card, as noted in the Minimum System Requirements on our Support site here: blackmagicdesign.com/support/detail/supportnotes/supportnote?sid=3956&pid=4022&snid=6333&isSDK=false&os=win

What you could theoretically do rather than uninstalling/installing the cards, if you simply uninstall/reinstall the drivers this could be be an easier solution than physically swapping cards, though I do understand this isn't the cleanest solution either. The UltraScope is designed more as a solution for standalone systems. Again, I do apologize for any miscommunication regarding this set up."

I hope this helps.

They work on my PC. Have a Decklink Studio card in the same PC as a thunderbolt connected Teranex which also controls an Atem 1 M/E and a Micro Videohub. All work together without an issue.

My dealer in Poland told me the MAC havent any problem to work both the cards, I have a question. Why BMD discriminates PC users? In Poland for one MAC, I have 3 PC with the same parameters.
