ATEM 1ME 4K and ProPresenter issues
We recently purchased the ATEM 1ME 4k for our church, and are very happy with it. Leaps and bounds over our BroadcastPix system.
It is setup as an SD system because not our cameras are HD... yet.
But, we cannot find a way to get the ProPresenter to feed as the DSK. Well, not always. Why ProPresenter as the DSK? We use PP for our song lyrics. Copying the PP show to a separate computer for our lower thirds on video streaming is easy.
1. We connected our 2008 Mac tower song lyric system, via SD SDI, and it worked great. But that system is for the house screens, not video.
2. We connected my MacPro laptop via mini display port to HDMI and it didn't work. Mac would not go down to 480i. Only 720.
3. We connected a loaner MacAir laptop with the same cables, and it worked great at 480i. But it was a loaner and the screen was too small. So, we concluded 480i was the answer.
4. Today we installed a new Dell tower system with Win 7 to it, via a USB2 to HDMI adaptor, and it would not work. Dell system only had two display resolutions, both way above what BP accepted before.
Please someone smack us over the head and tell us what we are missing. We can't keep swapping out computers. I am afraid to go buy another computer to find it wont work. Adaptors rarely tell you what their lower resolution is (480i), neither to computer mfg.
