We are using a Mac Min with OS X 10.9.1 to run the ATEM Software Control 4.2.1

Processor: 2.53 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
Memory: 8 GB 1067 MHz DDR3

The problem is when we start the ATEM Software Control and then restore the ATEM Television Studio, part of the software is no longer responding. We can still switch sources, but when we click on a plus sign to, say, change the upstream key 1, the menu does not expand. None of them do.

We then need to quit the ATEM Software Control, and then receive a crash report from Apple.

When we start the ATEM Software Control again, we can then expand the menus with the plus signs again.

Any idea how to fix this?

I experienced a few problems after updating a Mac Min to Mavericks OS X 10.9.1.
The Apple Screen Saver would start after two minutes despite being turned off.
The Video Express application would stop playing video files with any mouse click.
I was prepared to start trashing Preference files but discovered that everything
worked perfectly when logged in as another user. Problem fixed but not solved.
