I am just getting introduced to ATEM switchers and a had a few questions. Just wanted a confirmation from BMD or someone who is using these switchers.

ATEM Production Studio 4K Switchers

- In a review on youtube it was mentioned that the product does not have a capability to accept HDMI input from PC or laptop due to YUV to RGB coversions. Has this issue has been fixed for the mentioned product. We plan to output 1080@50i from our PC via HDMI.

- Can we output two live shots with chroma key. One camera input will be a person talking with green background(Cam 1) and other over video in the background should be another live camera input(Cam 2). We want to do a live out with Cam2 video in the background with Cam1 video in front with the green screen replaced by Cam2 feed. I have seen a lot of demo videos with a media player in the background but none with two live cameras.

It depends on your graphics card. I have a simple Lenovo Ideacentre, which works with my TVS at 1080i. Some other people here also use PCs at ATEM-mixer-inputs .....

But maybe its a problem of 4K series ? But not at the "old" ATEMs

Yeah the reviewer does mention that it works with the TVS system but not with the 4k ATEM. That was back in July2013.

Anyone used the 4k switcher with recent updates?

The issues with the 4k regarding YUV have been resolved. HDMI imputs from PC's now work. You'll have to update the unit to the latest firmware but I can confirm the build in colour space converters work.

Regarding your second question. The background of a chroma key can be any switcher source, live or not. Your chroma key example of Camera 1 in foreground with Camera 2 in background is possible.
