ATEM: Multiview over Ethernet

PostFri Oct 20, 2023 6:19 pm

Hi, do you have any idea how I can stream Multiview over Ethernet?

We will place 3 ATEMs (2x ATEM Mini Pro ISO and 1x ATEM SDI Extreme ISO) in 3 different rooms, and we'll work in the fourth room (using vMix for the fourth room).

We want to control all 4 rooms from one place (Control room). I've set up Companion so we can control everything remotely. Unfortunately, I need Multiview from all ATEMs. We'd like to use Ethernet for that. I was hoping I could use the Streaming Bridge for Multiview but, alas, it only works with program.

Any ideas from you?

One idea: Connect the ATEM by USB to a notebook, and OBS will receive signals as a webcam and stream by NDI. But can we use a webcam as Multiview?

Best regards,

So a method we use when we want to put it on a network is from the ATEM capture the multiview with a capture card "magewell usb capture plus" and use the Magewell to NDI software. Allowing us to basically pick up our multiviews any where there is a PC.

Easiest:
1 - ATEM HDMI OUT to a HDMI USB capture card
2 - M/V selected
3 - NDI conversion.

Another option :
1 - ATEM as a capture card via USB C output
2 - HDMI OUT plugged into HDMI 1
3 - M/V selected
4 - HDMI 1 input in PGM
5 - NDI conversion.
(but in this case ATEM only use would be to output Multiview)
