Is it possible to somehow use an iPad as a Program Out monitor, so the talent in our studio can see the live switched feed on an iPad?
Thanks

using one teradek cube or clip you can use the ipad as program monitor, is not very cheap but is one solution.

Apple has been gradually eliminating professional products, or replacing them with items that are decidedly less professional. This is one area where they could have a product that is a staple in both the professional and consumer market. If only they would put a video input on the iPad. Damn you Apple! We want an input connection! The iPad would make the perfect field monitor.

We do this!

We have a MacBook Pro and use a BMD mini recorder to capture the hd-sdi video. Then we use pixel conduit to display it full screen. Next step is splashtop streamer to host the desktop to our LAN. The iPad connects to the LAN wifi and running the splashtop client displays the MacBook desktop. End result is a wireless monitor of whatever I want to feed it, with about one frame of latency.

Thanks Greg, I've followed your post and got it working, and in fact got it working on 2 x ipads using iDisplay and the fullscreen output from Wirecast 5!
