Received our brand new ATEM mini pro hdmi this week. Had 3 cameras working. 4th camera is the output from an iMac running ProPresenter software. I had an image from that feed when I plugged into a local monitor (showed 1080p60hz, just like all my other inputs) but I couldn’t get an image when I plugged the iMac feed into the atem. Trying to fix that, I unplugged the power on the atem, waited 1 minute, then plugged the atem back in.
The mic 1 on light comes on, but then nothing else. No video output. Buttons don’t respond. Atem doesn’t show up in the switcher software or the setup software.
I google and find that I might need to do a hard reset. I unplug everything. Hold down the mic 1 on button and plug power back in. Mic 1 on light blinks like it should. I plug in usb c only. Setup software instantly sees the atem and asks to update the firmware. I click yes and hold my breath. Update gets to 99%, hangs for a moment, then says update failed. I remove power from the atem.
I uninstall the atem software. Reboot Pc. Download a fresh copy of of 8.0 and install it. Reboot pc. Put Atem back into recovery mode. Plug in usb c cable. Atem setup offers to update the firmware again. Again update fails at 99%.
Does anyone know what I’m doing wrong or what is happening?
I’ve been using an atem for about a decade. Updated to the mini pro after the network interface in our original atem failed (phone tech support confirmed my suspicions that our hardware died of old age). I did a clean software install between the old unit dying and the new unit arriving.
I’ve tried installing the latest version, but the installer says it’s missing cab files. This is why I’m using 8.0.
