Ultrastudio HD SDI,Decklink SDI not working on Intel chipset

PostFri Feb 21, 2014 9:06 am

Ultrastudio HD SDI (USB 3.0) and Decklink SDI boards are working on Intel H61 Express chipset,
but they are not working on Intel H87 Express and Intel H81 Express using the application developed by us using DirectShow.

Media Express is showing the video but when we use our application and we try to run the filter graph we receive an error message -2147024809.

This issue is because of the intel chipsets (H87 and H61)?

Can someone help me to understand what or why is not working, and maybe a solution to fix this?

Thank you.

You might want to give more information, just giving the chipset of the board doesn't really help as it's probably more an issue with specific boards rather than the chipset. All BM USB 3 devices are recommended to use the Renesas USB 3 controller rather than the one that's built in to the Intel chipset. The H61 chipset didn't have USB 3 built in so your board would have been using a 3rd party controller whereas the H87 has an Intel USB 3 controller built in

Yes, we tested Ultrastudio HD SDI with H87 and H81 with the default Intel USB 3 controller. With media express is working well, but I guess something is wrong with the directshow filters.

Epson AT992E
We are using this PCs with intel chipset H81 (Not working with our application) Epson AT992E.
- shop.epson.jp/pc/at992e/

Epson AT991E (They don't sell this one anymore)
With the H61 chipset we used Renesas USB 3.0 controller for Ultrastudio HD SDI and was working fine both in Media Express and in our application. Same for Decklink SDI everything was working fine.

To develop the application we used this libraries:
- mfnet.sourceforge.net (DirectShow.Net and Media Foundation .Net)
- gdcl.co.uk/gmfbridge/ for splitting the stream to preview and capture, so we don't need to stop the preview while we start/stop recording.
