Software for making graphics like lower third

PostTue Feb 25, 2014 1:51 am

Hi

I recently purchased a ATEM Television studio and was wondering if their any reasonably priced software to make on screen graphics. Like lower thirds that will work with blackmagic keying.

Any suggestions are appreciated.
Thank You

We use Apple Motion (45 €) for creating lower thirds, and CasparCG (freeware!) for playback. We are very happy with the results!

Another super easy way to to use Keynote and use black as a key. We've used this a few times when at events and needing to quickly update keys and messages.

For static lower thirds, use Photoshop.

Sometimes the export plug-in for the ATEM doesn't work, and if so, just save the file as a PNG, and that'll keep the alpha channel.
