ATEM Mini Pro and Behringer X32 Board Sound Issue

PostWed Feb 14, 2024 10:13 pm

Hello All!

At our church we are having an issue with sound recording on our ATEM Mini Pro.

We use a Behringer X32 Sound Board and are currently using an ATEM Mini Pro.

We run a 3 prong DMX/XLR out of an output (Bus) on our Sound Board to our Mic 1 Input on our ATEM. However when we record we want stereo sound but the sound becomes garbled and difficult to understand/hear.

This may seem like a basic question, but if we ran two lines instead of just one, would we get better stereo sound? If we did 2 outputs out of the Behringer to Mic 1 and Mic 2 of the ATEM would that be better? What if we did 2 outputs and then ran a splitter so two outputs go into one Mic 1 input of the ATEM? What is the best option for us?

Does anyone else have a similar set up? What do you do?

Thanks!

You're using the wrong type of cable.

There are a few ways to do it but if your x32 isn't too far away from your ATEM then use a simple stereo RCA to TRS cable from 5+6 on the back of the X32 to the ATEM.
