Television HD update question

I have run into an issue where, after updating our presentation computer's (Mac Mini) OS (over a year out of date), video is now not being sent to our ATEM Television HD switcher. Just a black screen.

After replicating with other cables and another (updated) machine, I speculated this was due to an out-of-date firmware on the switcher.

However, after updating the Control and ATEM Setup software, I have not been prompted to update the switcher.

The manual says updates will be prompted by the software. I did not receive such a prompt even with multiple reboots, restarts etc. And there is no way to force a check. So:

1) What is the most current software version for the Television HD switcher? Am I out of date or not?

2) If I am out of date, how do I go about manually updating?

- ATEM Setup does detect the device just fine, and I am connected via USB.

- The Mac does detect the BMD switcher as a display, and has been properly set.

I have already contacted support and hopefully will be hearing back from them soon, but any help is appreciated.

Have you tested connecting the mac to a monitor rather than the ATEM, to see if the problem persists?

This definitely sounds like the Mac is the culprit, not your ATEM

7.5.2 is generally agreed upon to be the last stable firmware. In the day there were a number of threads similar to this one.

Note - the older TVS only runs on older software.

The TVS HD runs fine on current ATEM software control. The drivers will be whatever the latest TVS HD needs.

Check your Mac is sending the same resolution and frame rate your ATEM is set to. That's the most likely problem.

It's also worth checking the FTB button hasn't been pushed (it will be flashing red).

Another culprit is a key or DVE being applied to the input.
