I have one and use it in PC free mode.
The big bummer is that it will only record in .ts mode and you have to use the
supplied .ts to mp4 converter if you need a h.264 file (which is what I need).
In PC mode is has the option of either .ts or mp4 recordings.
Otherwise it works great for producers to leave a shoot with the SDHC card and the shoot recorded in HD.
I am guessing the .ts file should also work with Toast to produce a quick Blu-ray without any further encoding. I will try that out at some time.
