Just set up a new studio with 3 blackmagic studio camera 6k pro camera's with Canon Compact-Servo 18-80MM T4.4 EF lenses on them and the video is firstly dark (which i can fix of course with gain) but also noisy.

short 2 second clip to see it in motion https://vimeo.com/theorphanshands/downl ... b1104d15eb

This is with the lens at T4.4 gain at +6 and then gain on the wheel at 1.65. They signal is running through studio convertors and all are using Cat 6 cables. I believe its is coming from the camera as the image on the camera is just as noisy. Any idea's as to what this is and how to fix it.

What's the false color showing for shadow exposure?

If I increase the gain it gets even more noticable.

Look up the dual native ISO settings for the camera and try to make use of one that gets you nearest to where you want to be in terms of "look". He native ISO are the cleanest.

Oh and if your camera has NDs check they're clear/off.

The easy, though non intuitive fix, is to shoot at +12db. This will enable the second gain/ISO stage. This mode has less DR but this scene does not require wide DR. Alternately you can add more light but only if you can expose properly at 0db or 400ISO. Exposing for +6/800ISO is underexposing by a stop and inviting the noise.

Good Luck
