Recording ProRes in BMPCC while connected to ATEM Mini

PostFri Feb 23, 2024 9:27 pm

Using a regular (two-way) HDMI cable allows the ATEM to control the camera, and it disables the Apple ProRes option on the camera.

If I used a "one-way" or directional HDMI cable, could I record Apple ProRes on the camera manually?

Thanks,

Negative, only the image portion of the signal is directional.

I’ve heard of folks using a CEC blockers to disable control and retain Prores.

Good Luck

Howard, thank you. It worked.
We got these from Amazon and they even have a switch you can enable/disable the blocker.
