I'm wondering if there is a way for the PIP window to be revealed and hidden with a transition, as opposed to just cutting in and out when I press on / off.

My app MixEffect lets you animate the DVE. Works great in combination with Companion and a Stream Deck. Watch this video here of it in action:

You can use a downstream key to mask the PIP, and then use that DSK's AUTO button to dissolve the DSK mask on and off. Here's how:
1. Set the Fill Source of the DSK the same as the background.
2. Set the Key Source of the DSK to white.
3. Adjust the DSK Mask to cover the size and position of the PiP window.
4. Click the DSK AUTO button to set the DSK layer ON AIR.
5. Set the PiP window ON AIR.
6. Click the DSK AUTO button again to turn off the DSK layer, revealing the PiP window.
