Hi folk, I am looking for some advice on embedding audio into our SDI.
We use Dante audio throughout our complex. We use BMD mini converts to convert our SDI PGM feed to fibre that runs down to our server room. Again using mini converts we go back to SDI into a Pix 260i that has a Dante interface. The Pix embeds Dante audio, does the recording and we use the SDI out, with the embedded audio to connect to a PC for live streaming.
The Pix 260i has failed and we’re looking for an alternative. I’m looking at a Teranex Mini Audio to SDI 12G along with a Dante AVIO AES/EBU converter.
I saw some posts about issues using the Teranex Mini Audio to SDI 12G with AES, is that still an issue?
Thoughts, suggestions?
