I'm looking to purchase a Micro Studio Camera 4K G2. I need to be able to monitor through the SDI port and run HDMI into an ATEM mini pro simultaneously. Does anyone know if this will work? Or as a backup, if I ran HDMI from the camera into my monitor, and HDMI from my monitor to the ATEM Mini pro, would I still have camera control from my laptop? Thanks a bunch!

HDMI and SDI in parallel are possible. HDMI is max 1080p. HDMI is locked to current ATEM resolution, SDI resolution is flexible, but framerate is determined by ATEM framerate.
ATEM Camera control and Camera -> Monitor -> ATEM will require that CEC is passed through by the monitor the splitter (if used).
In parallel alternative control of Micro 4k G2 is possible via REST API (already implemented and now with 8.6 rolled out to more cameras like Pockets). Currently unfortunately not natively supported with Companion/Streamdeck.
Also: All on display overlays and menus are only provided to HDMI port.
