ATEM Mini for live TV broadcast- audio issue

PostThu Apr 11, 2024 8:05 pm

Hi all!

I'm using the ATEM mini to key a green screen for TV NEWS live shots, but having a confusing audio issue.

I use a single lapel mic, which goes into Channel 1 (Left channel) on my Sony FX3.

The FX3 video/audio is goes into the HDMI 1 input on the ATEM mini.

However, the ATEM mini seems to be outputting the audio on Channel 2 (right channel), leaving Channel 1 silent.

Our studio team needs it to be on Channel 1 (for various boring technical reasons).

Any idea how to remedy this? I want only the Channel 1 audio from the camera to be on Channel 1 from the ATEM.

Appreciate your advice!

Are you sure the camera audio is set up correctly? I assume the lapel is plugged into an xlr on the camera handle? Input 2 is definitely not linked to input 1?

What else is/was the ATEM used for? Check audio settings using software control.
