Is there no Tally Signal in Multiview??

PostMon Mar 10, 2014 2:47 am

Hi there....

I use 2ME switcher with Studio Converter + 4 Camera Converter.
Recently I assign Multiview SDI output to PGM input of StudioConverter.
and then I can't see tally lamp lit.

Is there no tally signal in MultiView SDI output??

Thanks your reply.

We are using 9inch cheap LCD monitor for viewfinder.
As my experience, there are some more benefit than traditional Return PGM.
First of all.....
every camera man can view and know th other's shot.
so..... camera man can do different shot each other automatically.
cam 1 - Bast shot
cam 2 - center Full shot
cam 3 - close up shot

Conclusion =====
without PD's call sign for same shot on two camera, camera mans can do it themselves.

I think, no developper had the idea, that SDI-embedded tally ist also needed at multiview (what about the aux-outs ?)

This use case is new to me.
