HDMI to SDI mini Converter -Resolution

PostMon Mar 10, 2014 1:50 pm

Anyone know the HDMI to SDi mini converter can pass 1080p/60?
I was sending 1080p/60 source from Sony camera but it won't pass the video.
It passed video when the camera resolution changed to 1080i.

First suggestion is to plug the camera into another source (TV would be the easiest) and check that it's a 1080p 60 signal. The other problem I could foresee is your monitor not supporting the SDI signal for 1080p.

Also check to make sure you're receiving end is 3G-SDI level B compatible. There are 2 types of 1080p60 SDI signals. Level A (single stream like every other SDI signal) and level B (dual stream where each frame is split into 2 1080i signals and sent down a single cable). Blackmagic only supports level B.
