USB-C video quality issue to MacBook using OBS software

I am having a video quality issue with my ATEM Mini Pro ISO and the video signal from the USB-C cable to my Macbook Pro using OBS or Wirecast in doesn't matter. All the blacks in the video are crushed and the video quality is terrible compared to the quality of the video feed in my HDMI monitor which looks amazing. Any idea what I should do to fix this? Or is this a limitation of the amount of data that can be sent via the USB-C cable?
