Micro Studio Camera G2 + Video Assist camera control

Would it be possible to get camera control over HDMI or even SDI with the Video Assist 12G? It just seems like a missed opportunity to allow the ecosystem within Blackmagic Design to communicate with each other. It would be even better if we could get camera control throughout the cinema lineup. Imagine how useful it would be to have a bright monitor, that records externally and give you camera control within the Blackmagic Design cameras. So many more units would be sold almost instantly.

But I'm not even sure this would be possible through a firmware update or not....

... once I had that combination back in 2015 with the G1 and I think I remember it was possible with the G1, but I am not sure about it. However, this would be the best feature ever for the Micro Studio.
