Does anyone know if I can use a BMD 2110 IP Mini BiDirect 12G Converter as a comms unit by just connecting the SDIs to an ATEM Switcher (likely Constellation HD) and not plugging up the RJ45 side.

My advanced panel is sat on a desk in a gallery but the constellation is housed in a rack in the Rack Room. Looking to utilise BMD comms to cameras only.

I bought one to try, we a 2x Studio Cam 4K Pro G2's, and a Micro Studio 4K into an ATEM 1 M/E Production Studio 4K but I am running into issues. It seems like the SDI output port is not working. I have tried to just hang it off the ATEM as a separate input, tried it in the multiview chain, and have also taken the sdi feed from one of the G2's and tried to send it through. That final step is the only one that seems to be receiving the talkback from the camera, but I lost the video feed in the ATEM when I send it through the converter.
